Very brave of you to read aloud to camera. I haven't even recorded an audio for any of my posts so far, even though I write very much for the spoken word.
Your poetry weaves a spell, and this time you reinforce that incantation with your presence. The effect is powerful and sincere. Meg and I watched it together yesterday after a long drive home down twisty country back roads. It was like another form of travel - to a zone of soul, outside of normal space and time.
Thank you both for taking the time to listen while you were traveling! I don't know that I'd have chose me over the views and the wilds but I am deeply thankful to you for doing so! I actually never have gone quite so intimately public like this before so it was definitely a matter of feeling a bit of panic after hitting the post button, but as it turns out nothing bad happened to me as a result! 😅 I guess I like to break barriers and it felt important to me to read this one out loud as I did. There will probably be more to come and even instances of going live for podcasting with Jozef. Wish me/us luck!! Our first one will release this week.
I love that you pick up on the feeling of incantations and spells with my work and I especially love that two of the most beautiful humans I know on this planet shared in something I wrote that was deeply from the heart. Putting yourself out there publicly with a video is a whole level of awareness I wasn't really prepared for. I'm really glad the delivery felt as lovely as you have described.
